Terms of use

The rules for using the council platform. (Template text — have the council's legal adviser review before go-live.)

1. Accounts & roles

Accounts are issued per role — professional, employer, trainer/speaker or administrator. Where a person holds more than one role, each role has its own permissions. Professionals and employers are subject to council verification before locum features activate. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

2. Courses & APC points

  • Only courses approved and published by the council carry APC point values.
  • APC progress is computed exclusively from verified completions; certificates are not part of the workflow.
  • Completion of recorded courses requires full viewing plus a passed quiz; duplicate completions are blocked.
  • Cancellations: free until 7 days before a physical course, then 50% credit.

3. Locum engagements

Locum matching is profession-locked: employers' requirements are matched only with professionals of the same profession and skill category. Payment rates are agreed between employer and professional and secured by the platform until completion is confirmed by both sides. Disputes may be escalated to council administrators, whose intervention is audit-logged.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misrepresent qualifications or registration details, share QR passes, attempt to duplicate attendance or completions, or scrape the platform. The council reserves the right to suspend accounts that breach these terms, with reasons recorded.

5. Administrator overrides

Council administrators may correct records for legitimate reasons (for example, a missed scan). Every override carries an audit trail identifying the administrator, the record and the time.
